About
Geek Road Trip is a culmination of something I have been
thinking about for a long time. After living in the greater
Philadelphia area for most of my life, I have decided the time has
come to explore new territory, and territories I've explored.
In the past thirty two months I've had the privilege and honor
of following my passion for engaging with the technical community
through user groups, code camps, and other events across North
America. I have been fortunate to visit many wonderful cities in my
travels, but one of my favorites is Seattle, Washington. Before
CodeStock 2010 in Knoxville, Tennessee I will be packing up my
remaining belonging and heading west to Seattle.
Instead of heading directly to Seattle however, I have decided
to take a more meandering course and do a micro-version of my
original Community Tour idea: I'll be stopping in cities along the
way to talk tech, community, and just plain geek.
This will by no means signal the end of my community involvement
though. I am looking forward to continuing my participation in
community events across the country, though maybe skewed a little
towards western United States.
